Swallows, pheasants, partridge, rabbits, ducks, red squirrels, kite’s woodpeckers, owls, deer and the otters are regular visitors by the riverbank. Our estate offers a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and tranquility amidst stunning natural surroundings. Whether you’re here to explore the picturesque landscapes, indulge in our exceptional amenities, or simply unwind in the peaceful atmosphere, we have something for everyone. Penninghame Mid Lodge offers spacious, single-level accommodation within the peaceful, private grounds of Penninghame Estate. Ideal for families or small groups, it’s a perfect retreat for those looking to unwind in natural surroundings. Just a short walk from Penninghame House and riverside paths along the River Cree, it provides a wonderful base for relaxation or outdoor adventures. The lodge sleeps up to seven guests and is fully accessible, with all rooms on one level and a ramp leading to the entrance. The bright conservatory sitting room with dining area overlooks the garden and offers a welcoming space to relax and dine together. The well-equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, and stove. There are four comfortable bedrooms: a double with en-suite shower room, a twin also with en-suite, another twin bedroom, and a single bedroom. A family bathroom with shower over bath and an additional WC complete the layout. A cot and high chair are available for younger guests. Guests have access to Penninghame Estate’s gym, sauna, and steam room — ideal for a wellness boost or unwinding after a day out. These facilities are just a short walk from the lodge and add a luxurious touch to your stay. For convenience, the property includes a washing machine, tumble dryer, TV and DVD player. Heating, bed linen, and towels are included. Outside, a large private patio with garden furniture and a BBQ provides the perfect spot for alfresco dining. The peaceful garden and surrounding woodland offer tranquillity, wildlife, and scenic walks straight from the door. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement. Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the lodge.
