I bought Priory Cottage and moved to Cornwall during April 2017. I have a grown up son, who works as a Watersports Instructor I have recently adopted a English Springer Spaniel puppy, called Jessie and look forward to exploring and discovering new walks, in this beautiful County. Gardening is also a favourite hobby and I am finding developing and maintaining the gardens here great exercise and enjoyable. I grew up in Isles of Scilly, where my parents still live, so I am still a frequent traveller via Newquay Airport. I moved to Hampshire in 1987 and then to Hertfordshire in 1999. Trained as a secretary I worked in various office, sales and accounts departments until 2000, when I trained as a Nursery Nurse in Childcare and Education. I set up my own Childcare setting achieving Outstanding grading and caring for over 40 children during the past 18 years. In 2016, I decided it was time a change my occupation, I purchased Priory Cottage in April 2017 and set up as a small Bed & Breakfast, running this for 3 years. This last winter I have changed the house to self catering cottage apartment, and two letting rooms, due to a change in my personal circumstances.

From Priory Cottage a very short walk (5mins) down Rhind Street to Bodmin high street, makes popping out for a morning paper or evening meal makes your stay in Bodmin very central and close to amenities. Taking a walk to Bodmin Shire House or Museum (5mins), to the Steam Train Station or Mitlitary Museum, the Camel Trail or Bodmin Jail (15mins). I have found there is a cut through from Rhind Street through to Church Street, which leads to a walk through the church yard and Priory Park (areas of historical interest). At the top of Rhind Street there is the grave yard with a picturesque walk around its edge and historical buildings. I love that there are easily accessible walking and cycling routes from my door such as Dunmere Woods and The Camel Trail, Cardenham Woods and Llanhydrock Estate. Short and direct driving routes to Cornish attractions such as Eden Project, Charlestown and the South Coast footpaths, beaches and coves. Or vibrant Wadebridge and Padstow, Trebarwith Strand, Port Issac, Polzeath for great surf all super places to visit and explore.
