The Corner House is a two-storey home sleeping up to 4 people, located a short distance from Chesterfield and the Peak District. Two large double bedrooms, a bathroom with rainfall shower, a lower floor office/ working space, and a large open-plan living area on the ground floor, featuring a spacious, lounge, dining and kitchen area. A patio with elevated seating/ balcony area is located by the main entrance. Ground Floor:- Utility: With Washing Machine, Dishwasher, Ironing Board and Iron. Open plan Living room: With Mounted Smart TV, Free Wi-Fi with speeds of around 140MB, Sofa and Recliner Armchairs. HDMI cable dongle for console connection. Open Plan Kitchen/dining room: With Electric Range, Toaster, Kettle, Russel Hobs Microwave, Under-Counter Fridge/Freezer, and Ice Coffee Machine. Oak dining table provided to seat up to 4 guests. First Floor:- Bedroom 1: With double bed, side tables, mounted TV and wardrobe space. Side lamps offer USB charger built in Bedroom 2: With double bed, side tables, and wardrobe with built in shelving. Side lamps offer USB charger built in Bathroom: Bath, sink, toilet and rain-fall shower. Bath mat, hand and bath towels, and starter pack of toilet roll, shower gel, shampoo, and soap provided. Lower Floor:- Desk and Chair located downstairs. Ideal for a separate working space or gaming hub. Patio with elevated seating/ covered balcony area. Brought up in Yorkshire and later living and working in London for IBM, I later relocated to Derbyshire – setting up a successful business and non-profit, alongside directing and consulting others on their own businesses. I love the peace of the countryside, and I have now been lucky to live in the area for 30 years. My favourite places to walk include Linacre Reservoir, Curbar Edge and the Chatsworth Estate. Keen motorcyclist, PADI diver, and author of four published books I also run two other holiday homes/ serviced accommodation, at Long Hall, Newbold, and Number 26 Van Dyk Village, and have earned ratings of: Airbnb SuperHost 4.97 out of 5, and Booking dot com 9.7 out of 10. Corner House is situated directly on New Whittington’s High Street. You will find an array of shops and takeaways just a short walk away. Chesterfield town is around 2 miles away, 6 minutes by car. There you will find shops, train station and bus links, extensive markets, the famous crooked spire, and numerous excellent bars/ restaurants. Being just a short distance away from the Derbyshire Peak District countryside, there is so much to do, see and explore in this area, with some of the finest country stately homes in England to visit such as Chatsworth, Hardwick Hall and Haddon Hall. Corner House is the perfect place to unwind after your sightseeing and walks with your family or friends.
