Tucked away at the end of a farm track, the Piggery is a detached, comfortable, country hideaway in the grounds of our farm, with a wood burning stove for cosy evenings, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, open plan sitting/bedroom/dining space, garden and parking for total privacy. Surrounded by rolling countryside, stunning views and amazing sunsets, The Piggery has all the ingredients for a perfect, relaxing, countryside break in this beautiful part of East Sussex. The Piggery was originally a pigsty on our rural Sussex farm, converted some years ago and recently refurbished to create a cosy space for two. The Piggery is detached with it's own garden and includes an open plan living and sleeping space with separate kitchen and bathroom. The living space has a wood burning stove for cozy evenings, 32" Smart TV (Netflix and Amazon Prime installed - you'll need to sign in to your own account), DVD player, a selection of DVDs and books, king size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, comfy fire-side armchairs and dining area. A separate well-equipped kitchen with integral oven and hob, fridge, microwave and enough equipment for a full roast dinner, is provided. For coffee lovers, the kitchen has a cafetière and Tassimo coffee machine - remember to bring your favourite ground coffee or Tassimo pods. Olive oil, salt & pepper, tea, sugar and instant coffee is provided. A pretty cottage style bathroom with full size bath and over-bath shower, completes the accommodation. The Piggery can accommodate one child under the age of two, let us know if you would like use of our travel cot and high chair, or will be bringing your own. Outside, the Piggery has its own private garden space, with views over the valley to the rear and area of lawn at the front with table and chairs for summer time dining and deck chairs under the pear tree to enjoy summer evenings. The garden is stock fenced, gated and dog-proof for doggie guests (pet fee per stay applies).

The Piggery is situated in a rural, but not isolated location, equidistant from Battle, Hastings and Bexhill. We are ideally located for exploring the historic market town of Battle, Hastings Old Town, Bexhill and Rye. The highly regarded Plough Inn, Crowhurst, is within walking distance and a range of other fabulous pubs and eateries in the local area. Crowhurst doesn’t have a shop but there are supermarkets less than 10 minutes away by car, in Battle, Hastings and Bexhill. To make the most of our glorious rural location, the Combe Valley Countryside Park starts at the head of our driveway, with wonderful country walks to explore and a chance to see a variety of birds and wildlife.
