Its lovely to stay on a narrow boat and the location of this lovely boat was brilliant. It was -2 outside, but 30 minutes after firing up the wood burner, we were toasty warm :)

Great location, lots of great places to eat or have a drink. Nice to stay somewhere more unusual but still be in the heart of London.

Property information

Why not experience some British boating culture whilst enjoying London's top landmarks right in the city centre? Our cosy canal boat comfortably sleeps 4 adults on 2 double beds. The kitchen, bathroom & decks have everything you need - and ask us about early check-in or a one-hour private tour right on your boat. Located in Little Venice near Paddington station we're only 20-30 mins to the city's most famous sites - so come enjoy a unique experience & peaceful sleep on our canal boat! Our canal boat is ideal for a couple, family or group of friends visiting London to see its most famous landmarks. It offers a bright open-plan kitchen and lounge, full bathroom, cosy double bedroom and extra double-bed to comfortably sleep 4 adults. The boat's stern has an open-air deck allowing for early sunrise breakfasts or relaxing dinners under the stars - or lets guests have a relaxing cup of tea whilst watching ducks and swans feeding in the canal. The boat moors on the Grand Union canal in Little Venice narrowboat village and we'll share the short route to her PIN location along the easy-to-access towpath from the underground station. And if the weather plays its part, we might be able to provide a 1 hour private tour via the bird sanctuary island, two narrowboat villages, Regent's Park, London Zoo and into Camden market. The eco-centric canal boat runs on solar power with brand new energy-efficient powerbanks available for full electricity to charge all your phones, laptops and bright LED lights throughout the boat. We think you'll find staying on our canal boat a more interesting and unusual experience than a standard hotel room or apartment - our boat has what you need for a memorable break in central London!

Neighbourhood information

Little Venice, with its beautiful canals and waterways, can be found just to the north of Paddington. Positioned where the Grand Union and Regent’s canals meet, this picturesque neighbourhood is home to quirky waterside cafes, cosy pubs and charming restaurants. From canal boat rides to puppet shows, there are plenty of things to do in this charming London area. Things to do in Little Venice: Explore atmospheric Regent’s Canal, which starts from Little Venice and ends in the Docklands, passing the likes of ZSL London Zoo and Camden Town. Walk downstream past the elegant Regency streets of Maida Vale and on to Regent’s Park and Camden, or follow this peaceful corridor upstream to the west and enjoy the tranquility of the canals. If you’d rather take to the water, embark on an exciting canal trip by narrowboat with Jason's Trip, Jenny Wren Canal Cruises and the London Waterbus, which take you from Little Venice to Camden Lock Market in around 45 minutes. Little Venice also boasts some of the most interesting independent theatre venues in London. Catch award-winning fringe and comedy from the candlelit tables of the Canal Café Theatre, or enjoy a show at the Puppet Theatre Barge, a real theatre on a canal boat. For free entertainment in the summer months, head to nearby Sheldon Square’s amphitheatre which puts on a series of events. Sports fans should pay a visit to the Lord’s Cricket Ground, a little further along the waterway. Here, there’s the chance to learn about the history of cricket during a tour of the famous ground and its museum. Food and drink in Little Venice: Whether you’re looking for a relaxing spot by the canal or a traditional pub, you’ll find the perfect stop-off at one of Little Venice’s best cafes and restaurants. Treat yourself to fresh seafood and fabulous views at The Summerhouse, an elegant canal-side restaurant; or soak in the sun on The Waterway’s wide terrace.
