A modernised retreat in a quiet location, just a short distance from Windermere Enter into the main living and dining area where you'll find a sumptuous sofa set in front of a wood burning stove, above which sits the wall mounted SMART TV. The room is lit by the most interesting light fittings, which co-ordinate perfectly with the oak stair and bannister rails. Through to the country kitchen with fridge and small freezer box, electric oven and hob, microwave, and washer/dryer. Next door, the downstairs shower room with a spacious cubicle, vanity basin, and WC is fully tiled. There's a handy door to the outside from here too and useful space for coats and boots. Take the stairs to the first floor and the spacious, vaulted bedroom with exposed original beams and bespoke oak furnishings. The king-size bed has a superb mattress and is dressed in crisp, quality linens to ensure a good night's rest. Outside, there's a cobbled, raised patio area with seating, ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. This area leads to an informal garden space that blends seamlessly with the natural landscape. You're welcome to bring your dog to Windy Hall Cottage, but do be aware that much of the land isn't fully enclosed and there are sheep in the adjacent fields. There's a private parking space at the top of the driveway. Please note: there are security cameras on the front elevation and car park. With its soft pink hue, the original colour of this historic property, the sensitive refurbishment of the cottage has combined modern luxury with timeless charm. Perfectly situated for exploring the stunning Lake District Windy Hall Cottage has walks a plenty from the door to include School Knott, Grandsire and Brantfell. Windermere and Bowness can be reached on foot where you'll find a wealth of shopping, cafes and bars. But, if you're after somewhere rather special to eat, book into Henrock at Linthwaite just along the drive and take the opportunity to sample some produce grown within the grounds at Windy Hall itself - it's a dining experience not to be missed!
