Welcome to Yew Tree Cottage Bed & Breakfast, Pembridge – a cosy, three bedroom cottage of 15th Century origin, nestled in the heart of rural Herefordshire, also available by arrangement as a self-catering holiday let. The accommodation comprises a Family Suite (two double bedrooms adjacent to a half bathroom) upstairs and shared bathroom on main floor; and a West Wing with one double bedroom and private ensuite (sink, bath and toilet). Yew Tree Cottage is located in a hamlet about a mile south of Pembridge, a medieval village that forms part of Herefordshire’s Black and White Trail. We’re surrounded by rich fields of red earth, small woodlands, apple orchards, gently flowing rivers and rolling hills – a setting perfect for calming nature walks. In short, the Good Life. Situated just a few miles inside the border with Wales, and mid way between the cathedral city of Hereford (16 miles), historic Ludlow (17miles) and Leominster (8 miles) with many small villages and pubs offering fresh local food, Pembridge is an ideal point from which to explore the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons, Wye Valley, Offa’s Dyke and the borders with Shropshire.
Hi! I am Anna, your hostess. Welcome to Yew Tree Cottage - it's been my home for 24 years even though I have often had to leave it for work. Now I intend to stay. I work as a consultant-strategist to the tourism sector and am passionate about enabling guests to truly relax and feel comfortable in a home that's loved. We're located down a very quiet lane in some of England's most beautiful countryside. The wildlife (birds, rabbits, foxes, badgers) are abundant and on a clear night you can just about see the Milky Way. We're located just outside Pembridge one of the several black and white villages oozing history and personality. We even became a semi finalist in last year's Village of the Year competition. My garden is my passion and I have created lots of spaces for my guests to enjoy it - weather permitting. Yew Tree is just as attractive in the winter - around the cosy fire. I serve a generous cooked breakfast and try to please all tastes including vegetarian and vegan - just et me know in advance! Thanks for considering Yew Tree Cottage!
Yew Tree Cottage occupies a beautiful, secluded setting only 1.25 miles from renowned black and white village of Pembridge with a famous Tea Shoppe, two pubs and a restaurant. We're surrounded by a number of quant "black and white" villages with lots of opportunities to enjoy fresh Herefordshire produce after exploring the scenery and galleries. The medieval town of Ludlow is a short drive away, as is the cathedral city of Hereford with a mix of old and new facilities.
