"Leather Lane", in the heart of Old Tbilisi, is the artists and Designers family apartment. The building is a part of a historical heritage. This house has two floors, plus a cellar. The basement is from the thirteenth century, the upper two floors have been demolished many times and rebuilt. The present building was built in the forties of the last century. The house was rehabilitated in 2017. The design of this object is the original author's design. The author of the apartment interior design it's me, your host. The advantage of our object in its location - this is the center of the old town and all attractions are within walking distance. The main facade overlooks Erekle II Street, the liveliest place for tourists. The rear facade of the house faces Leather lane, which can be accessed from Kote Abkhazi street N 32. The entrance to the facility is on the high first floor, you have to walk up only five steps. On the other side of the facade, the windows go to the second floor and the street of restaurants. In the interior of this apartment consists of furniture and decore elements, each with it's own history: grandmother's mirror, which after the restoration we've place in the entrance, grandma's tea table that we converted into a vanity table. The visiting card of our apartment is clothes hanger in the hallway. At one time these wooden shoe forms helped my father feed his family when he returned home from exile after the repressions durring the USSR regime. This is my family history and it's important to me, moreover, thematically it echoes the history of our facility itself, because shoe craftsmen have lived on Leather Lane since ancient times and there were shoe shops on the lower floor.
In this building since the 20th century lived Jews, Armenians, Azerbaijanis, Kurds and Georgians. Now on the first floor is the Georgian restaurant "Batoni", on the upper floor is located our private apartment and apartment for guests.

"Leather lane" is our first joint facility. The space was small and the desires were big. I wanted to include everything without wasting space, which we were able to do by demolishing the old deviding walls and rearanging the floor planing to maximise the available living area.
Guests can move freely in our apartment, sleep on a very wide bed, relax on the sofa, receive friends as guests. I am especially proud of the bathroom, where two people can take a shower at the same time.
I love my job - I measure every centimeter and make it functional, I try to give the interior a new life, preserving the history and loading a new aesthetic. I also like to receive and host guests - new faces, stories and emotions. We are glad that people are interested in our country and want to travel, get to know the local people, culture, cuisine. I enjoy listening to questions, talking and helping guests plan their vacation, where to travel, what to see, where to try local Georgian cuisine. Many times our guests drank wine with us in the evenings in our own apartment, talked to us about interesting topics, sang together. Finally, by receiving guests, I realize how big the world is, how diverse people are, and how united we are at the same time. I am proud that through t
