Hello! I’m Gye Dibben—your host and skipper aboard Spica Primero. With over two decades of hands-on maritime experience, I’ve combined my lifelong love for the sea with a passion for hospitality to offer guests a truly unique escape in Corfu.
My journey started at age 10 in Optimist dinghies and evolved through owning and maintaining a range of vessels—from a Glastron 25' motor cruiser to a Jeanneau 40.9 sailing yacht, and now Spica Primero, a beautifully restored 24m Hatteras motor yacht. Since becoming a professional skipper in 2019, I’ve been dedicated to delivering safe, comfortable, and memorable experiences on the water.
But my background goes beyond boats—I’ve also run a hotel and restaurant, working every role from front of house to chef. That experience taught me the importance of genuine service, attention to detail, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. I’ve also worked in a chandlery, where I deepened my technical understanding of marine equipment and maintenance.
Today, as the owner-operator of Spica Primero, I bring together all these skills to offer a relaxed, stylish dockside stay with a difference. Whether you're looking to soak up the sun on deck, sip a drink at sunset, or just experience the charm of yacht life without the usual charter price tag, this is your chance to do it in comfort and style.
I’m always nearby if you need anything—local tips, restaurant reservations, or just a friendly chat about life at sea. My goal is simple: to make you feel at home while offering something truly special.
I look forward to welcoming you aboard and sharing the beauty of Corfu from a fresh perspective—afloat!
