Syllamos is a holiday location approximately 10 kilometers from the city of Heraklion. The location offers a great advantage because it is very close to vineyards and well-known wineries of the city. It is 20 minutes by car from the beautiful beaches of the city. Very close you will find the famous palace of Knossos. The area is rich in vegetation with many attractions, such as the church of Agia Irini in the village of Spilia. Also, the ancient aqueduct of the city, the Archaniot gorge with the waterfalls, the tower of Fortetsa and the small open theater of the area. It is worth visiting the traditional village of Archana through a wonderful route with rich vegetation. Near the area of Syllam you will find supermarkets, gas stations, taverns, and cafes. The city's airport is only 11 kilometers from Syllamos.
