Pantelis is a retired sea captain of the Greek merchant marine. He was born in Alexandria, Egypt, to Greek parents. However, his upbringing and life at sea made him more of a cosmopolitan. By this we mean he is just one more inhabitant of this beautiful planet to which we came to learn to coexist. Like most Greeks born in Egypt in those days, He speaks many languages. Back in Egypt, apart from Modern Greek, in the school they also learn Arabic, English, some French and Italian. His wife, Claudia, is from Colombian. Both share their home with their nice little dog, Mini. They also have an aquarium with colorful and playful fish. Apart from swimming, the hobby which really gets all his time is building historic ships models, as having been a captain for so many years really defines him. His wooden model collection is definitely his greatest pride

The property is a 15 to 20 minute drive from Aegina port and a 5-minute drive from the little fishing port of Souvala, on the northern coast of the island. The local area, Vathy, is a relaxing, artistically inspiring and attractive place, close to where any social activities may develop. It is roughly equidistant from most places in the north, east and west coast. It is in the countryside and stands out in the middle of pistachios fields, the main income source of the locals. Parking is easy just outside the house. The owner may share the parking space of the property , if the guest is ready to move in and out his/her car as needed. The rental is on the second floor and has its own independent entrance as seen in the picture. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker and will meet all your needs for a small flat. The bedroom’s main feature is its immediate access to a spacious veranda (17.8 sqm) which will become the guest favorite spot for its wonderful view and its contagious feeling of freedom. Walking in the area is completely safe. The spot is a good start point for a walk, if you choose to take the mountain trails through the forest to visit the ancient temple of Afeas. The maze-like medieval town of Palea Chora and the monastery of St. Nektarios are at a reasonable walking distance. Same goes for other equally popular monasteries, Eleftherotria and St. Dimitrio.
