Ideal for family vacations, romantic getaways, or trips with friends, "Patmos Traditional Cottage" offers an exceptional stay in the historic heart of Chora Patmos. Located just steps from the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Monastery of St. John the Theologian and half a minute's walk from the central square of Agia Lesvia, you'll find tranquility and easy access to shops, traditional taverns, cafes, and bars.
The private balcony provides stunning sea views to the south of Patmos, perfect for enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner, while watching the sunset. The cottage combines wood and stone in harmony, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere that reflects local architecture.
This first-floor residence, designed in traditional Dodecanese style, features thick stone walls that naturally keep the interior cool and quiet. The breeze from the Aegean (Ikarian) Sea means air conditioning isn't necessary, but portable fans are available if needed.
Inside, the cottage includes two bedrooms: one with a double bed on the first level and another in the open attic with two floor mattresses. Both bedroom spaces have windows with sea views. The space also features a kitchen with a dining area, living space with a sofa, a bathroom, and a balcony. From the attic bedroom window, you can enjoy the sea view of South Patmos and the Ikarian Sea. The entrance porch is right below the Monastery and you can frequently hear the bells ringing for liturgy.
The fully equipped kitchen includes all essentials, such as glasses, mugs, pans, pots, plates, cutlery, a fridge, a cooker with an oven, a kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine. The dining table comfortably seats four, and the private balcony is a perfect spot for drinks or coffee.
The cottage is tastefully decorated with all modern comforts, ensuring warmth, cleanliness, and an unforgettable holiday experience. Enjoy unlimited free Wi-Fi, a double bed, a spacious bathroom with a rain shower, towels, and bed linen.
For convenience, free public parking is available a three-minute walk from the residence, while private or rented motorbikes can be parked right at the front door.
Experience unique hospitality at the center of Chora in Patmos.
Guests have access to the entire property on first floor.
You can come to Patmos Traditional Cottage by bus or taxi from the central port (Skala) of Patmos. Its distance is only 3 km (8 minutes) from the port of Patmos.
To conveniently explore the island, we advise that you rent a vehicle (auto, scooter, etc.).
If you are on foot, you will need about 30 minutes depending on the route to walk from Skala to Chora. The older path (Aporthianos) has a shorter length, but is more atmospheric, with a beautiful view. It starts right below the windmills and was until 1818 the main street of the settlement. It is worth walking this route at least once, which is worth noting that it passes right by the Cave of the Apocalypse, this unique religious monument that is worth visiting regardless of your religion.

The house is located in the historical center of Patmos Chora and very close to small grocery stores, convenience stores, cafes, restaurants bank ATMs and bars.
