My wife Mahin and I are open-minded and intercultural people. I am a retired professor and Mahin is an independent midwife. Together with our daughter Diana, we love to travel and try to discover new countries whenever possible. In 2021 we bought our property in Kyrianna, which is our second home after Munich. Kyrianna is a beautiful traditional Cretan village just 20' from the center of Rethymno with its lively atmosphere. Kyrianna is also a listed traditional settlement and a municipal district. The church of Panagia (Virgin Mary) is located in the center of Kyrianna village and is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The original church (11th century) was a cruciform temple with a dome and looked like the chapel of St. Paul in Sfakia. In front of the church there is a bell tower with three arches of unique beauty and detail. Near the house there are taverns, restaurants, supermarkets and cafes. The beautiful surroundings are ideal for walks in the countryside.
