Información de la empresa
A unique aspect you can find at Coco Bamboo Beach Camp is a door to the bamboo and cacao world. The place is connected to several cacao farmers in the region and if Laurence, the co-owner, is present she can share a lot about her work with cacao. On the other side, we have bamboo on the land, and Elisa, our other co-owner, is a bamboo architect and social activist.

Información del alojamiento
Coco Bamboo Beach Camp is a small eco-paradise directly on the Caribbean beach of Guatemala. We have a camping ground with tents and small cabins for renting. We aim to create a relaxing and enriching space for travelers to enjoy the ocean. We believe in community, sustainability, wellness, and cultural exchanges. We are quite off-grid, located in a small village. Make sure to plan a few days here as its a bit of a stretch to get to (or a great stop on your way out of Livingston). We offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner on-site in a community meal style with a bar open until 10 pm. We do not accept parties or loud music but rather encourage bonfires, game nights, live music and good conversations. There's public boats passing by that can connect you to Livingston or Puerto Barrios. We can also arrange private boats and day tours.
On site, we have 3 kayaks, some paddle boards, a private white sand beach, an ocean to enjoy, a small bar front for drinks, and a food forest in the backyard. We are also developing a small permaculture farm focused on cacao.
*Be aware*
The property is quite off-grid. It is a well-worth adventure to come here and the place itself is a destination with its own beach, farm, and community. We recommend staying in Rio Dulce and Livingston to visit local attractions and complete your trip here for relaxation, beach life, and community living.
From Puerto Barrios boats are available all day until 5 pm (50Q).
From Livingston, there is a daily boat leaving at 11 am on week days from the gas station (50Q), we can reserve it for you. Public boats can sometimes stop by here but they usually don't like it when the ocean has too many waves; the earlier, the better.
Private boats to-from Livingston starts at 150Q
Be aware that when there is a storm, it isn't possible to come to our place by boat. (We cancel free of charge).
