A large farmhouse built in the late 1800s in Balatonhenye was renovated by the present owner. The renovation was done in a so called "eclectic vintage" style. If you choose Henye Vintage home, you can travel back to the past for a few days long and relax in an authentic environment. Despite of the old-fashioned atmosphere, the house has all the necessary equipment to spend a holiday comfortably. The walls are mostly decorated with the owner's retro style artistic photos which gives the guest house an additional uniqueness. The photos can be purchased on site if required.
We bought the house as a family holiday home for over 30 years. In 2021 the entire building was renovated. We really liked the result and in the end we decided to welcome guests. The Kali Basin is a magical place surrounded by many millions years old former volcanoes like as the Badacsony. Lots of people also attribute a special, healing effect to the area. In any case, we highly recommend our small village, Balatonhenye, for rest and recharge.
The area is ideal for hiking all year round. Balatonhenye is surrounded by mountains and forests. The nearest Fekete-hegy lookout offers an unforgettable experience but hikers can admire the beautiful panorama of the Káli basin by climbing any nearby mountain peak. On a clear day one can also see Lake Balaton. Lake Balaton and its exceptional landscapes will certainly satisfy the lovers of photography as well.
