Villa Rae is located an easy 10-15 minute scooter ride from Ubud center in a beautiful local village called Mas. Mas is a very traditional neighborhood and is known for art galleries, local artisan showrooms and cozy cafes. We love driving through this area where you’ll pass by a local market, families on their evening walks and endless views of palm trees and rice fields. The best form of transport is hiring scooters, which we can help organize for you if you let us know prior to your arrival. For those who aren't confident on scooters, we can arrange private cars with friendly drivers who can provide daily trips to town or tours of the local sites. Fair and reasonable prices are charged for this service, supporting our local community. We also suggest downloading the Gojek & Grab apps which make everything from transport to food delivery a breeze (think of these as the Bali versions of Uber and Uber eats)!
