The local village is less than 10 minutes walk away through heritage woodlands and farm lanes. In this village there is a charming pub with a wood-burning stove and there is a local village shop. Friday evening there is a food truck parked at the village. There is a playground in the village with basketball courts and a few walking paths too. On the weekends there is a late-night local bus service from the pub available until midnight to take you and your guests home to the cottage from Scotshouse village. There is Local Link bus service which runs to the gates of the estate or the local village ( 10 minutes walk from the cottage). This local link bus services connect to the two main local towns of Cavan and Monaghan in which a main bus service can be got to cities across Ireland and direct to airports. Plenty of carparking available. Nearest Town is Clones with a supermarket and other shops within the town and lovely pubs with wood fired pizzas and takeaways available. For a more extensive shopping experience Cavan and Monaghan are both within 30minutes.
