We have chosen discretion. We are always available for any need, but you will not find anyone “on duty”: our reception is virtual and access information is sent to you by e-mail or message. It’s our way of combining autonomy with care. People call us many things. Some call Foyer “the artists’ refuge” — we often host those who work behind the scenes at the Teatro Lirico or in the rooms of the Conservatory: voices, hands, souls who need silence before stepping on stage. Others simply call it home: here they find sober beauty, genuine hospitality, a presence that does not intrude but accompanies only if invited. What we are (and what we are not) We are a smart guesthouse: high-quality rooms, a virtual reception and fast communication via e-mail or instant messaging for access instructions. We are not a hotel with a 24-hour concierge service: you will not find staff on site at all times. This is part of our operating model and is clearly communicated at booking. Comfort & care: new furnishings, tidy and clean spaces. Tranquillity and discretion: our strength is cleanliness — we do well the things that matter. Self check-in is always active: we do not have a staffed reception desk. You will receive all instructions by e-mail or instant message. Cleaning & linens: cleaning every 3 days; fresh towels every 3 days; fresh sheets once a week — a choice made for quality and sustainability. Accessibility: an elevator is available, but some rooms are reached by a flight of stairs; please check the room location when booking. Breakfast: available only on request and subject to availability. As a guesthouse, and in accordance with health regulations, breakfast includes a variety of packaged items; fresh preparations or hot made-to-order dishes are not provided.
