Welcome to Osaka English House! Perfectly located between Osaka and kyoto. Both cities are very easily accessible! Day trips such as Nara, Uji and Kobe are also easily possible! Located on an extremely quiet small inclined road - approximately 10-minute walk from Hirakatashi station on the Keihan line. Truly the best location for people who want to go sightseeing but who also want a calm and peaceful place to stay. Close to multiple grocery stores and restaurants. The owner (Hidekazu Watanabe) and family lives on the upper floors and can help with guest's requests. We often organize events and group dinners. It is the perfect opportunity to experience the Japanese culture first-hand and interact with people from all over the world. We have on site staff who speak English Japanese and French ready to welcome you Please also note that Osaka English House has an English school on the first floor. This is not accommodation designed for parties. We offer weekly discounts. If you would like to be a longer term resident, or are looking for cultural experiences, Japanese lessons, English lessons or help navigating Japan, we are happy to help!

A suburban town with easy access to both Osaka and Kyoto, taking about 30 minutes from the train station to reach either city. Located in the northeastern part of Osaka Prefecture, Hirakata lies midway between Osaka and Kyoto. In front of Hirakata City Station, there are commercial facilities such as Hirakata T-SITE, a lifestyle-oriented department store centered around Tsutaya Bookstore. Nearby, you'll find the Kyo-Kaido, a historical street lined with charming townhouses and traditional Japanese cafes. Additionally, the rich rural landscape of the Hotani area, located in the southeastern part of the city, has been selected as one of the "100 Best Satoyama in Japan." In the bountiful autumn season, when the cosmos fields are in full bloom, a harvest festival is held. Hirakata is a city that offers a variety of ways to enjoy both its urban and rural charms.
