Offering a luxurious paradise experience, Diamonds Athuruga Maldives Resort & SPA features spacious villas, a spa offering Ayurvedic treatments and a dive centre. It is just a 20-minute scenic seaplane flight from Malé International Airport. Over-water villas feature a large terrace offering direct access to the lagoon. They are fitted with a canopy bed and come with a living area and large en suite bathroom. The beach front bungalows have a private verandah with seating area and open-air shower. All of them come with tea/coffee making facilities. Water sports such as fishing, canoeing and windsurfing can be arranged. Guests also have a choice of snorkelling spots to enjoy. Other facilities include a library stocked with books, games and a Nintendo Wii, as well as a business centre. The Resort offers five different restaurants, outstanding chefs and a passion for cuisine of the very highest standards. Thari Over Water Restaurant is free of charge for Water Villa guests only. Farivalhu Maldivian Restaurant, Thila Japanese Restaurant and Kakuni Sea food Restaurants are at an extra charge for all the guests. The Boli Beach Bar offers light meals and snacks at no extra charge.

The fine print
Diamonds Athuruga island resort is located in the South Ari Atoll and is easily accessible by seaplane. Transfers are operated by Trans Maldivian Airways from Male International Airport, with a flight duration of approximately 25-30 minutes. Please note that a surcharge applies for this service.
Season 1 from 16.04.2025 - 31.10.2025: Seaplane transfer cost $358 per person
Season 2 from 01.11.2025 - 15.04.2026: Seaplane transfer cost $450 per person
Seaplane transfers typically operate from sunrise to sunset, which is approximately 7 AM to 3:30 PM Male City time. in order to organize the seaplane transfer, guests must provide their flight details to the property at least 72 hours prior to their expected arrival to email info.diamondsathuruga@planhotel.com
The free baggage allowance is 20 kg, plus 5 kg for hand luggage, per person. The carrier will transport excess baggage subject to payload availability at a cost of USD 5.00 plus applicable taxes per kg. Carrier does not guarantee the baggage on the same flight as the passenger. Also subject to payload availability.
Our Airport Representatives will then escort to the check-in counter for seaplane transfer and assist with the check-in process. Once the check-in formalities are finished, will be transferred to the seaplane terminal, only a short 5 minutes away.
