De Heidestroper has 2 rooms located on the first floor. There is also a pantry on the first floor with coffee, tea, refrigerator and microwave. There is also a terrace for visitors. The area behind the Heidestroper is ideal for walks and to go out by bike (mountain bike). De Heidestroper is located against a large nature reserve (De Stratumse Heide connected to the Groote Heide, Strabrechtse Heide and Leenderheide), which provides hours of walking and cycling pleasure.
After having lived in the center of Utrecht for 25 years, it was time for a new place close to nature and the center of Eindhoven is also easily accessible. Together with my partner we bought this house in 2018 and because of the space, it was a small step to start our own B&B. I completed the Hotelschool and the School voor Dietetics. For 15 years I worked as a dietitian in nutrition research. I love to play tennis, to hike, read, travel and to read.
It is located in Gijzenrooi; a quiet neighborhood on the edge of the forest / heath. A 15-minute walk from the shopping center on the Heezerweg with an Albert Heyn, Lidl, Kruidvat, etc. There are also a few restaurants within a 15-minute walk (t Cruijdenhuisch, Frituurhal, Hong Kong, Pizzerias, WiroWok) Bus line 12 stops in front of the door and takes you to the center of Eindhoven within 12 minutes. Please note that this bus only runs during the day! Also within cycling distance (15 minutes) from Eindhoven center (from Abbemuseum, Stratum's end). Near the roads to Maastricht, Venlo, Den Bosch and Eindhoven airport.
