Ebony Cottage is an inviting self contained Cottage, overlooking a private courtyard yard, surrounded in established gardens, it's located in a handy position walking distance to Mangawhai Village. Perfect for couples. You'll find everything you need at the cottage to make your stay an enjoyable one. The cottage is set amongst character buildings and a large barn, occasionally we'll be staying in the barn but will respect your privacy. You are welcome to wander around to enjoy the cottage gardens.

Take a short stroll along the coastal walk at the rear of the property to the historic Mangawhai Tavern: Saturday morning markets; restaurants; cafes and local art gallery. Wander down the estuary pathway to the estuary beach: enjoy the clear calm estuary for cooling off in the summer months. Mangawhai, for the perfect getaway to escape the stresses of city life being just over an hours drive north from Auckland. Mangawhai is the ultimate destination for a relaxing holiday, with a beautiful white sandy patrolled surf beach, a world class golf course to challenge even the best of golfers, vineyards, olive & avocado groves. If you enjoy the great outdoors there's plenty of variety for adventure; take a hike around one of the many walking trails, climb the huge sand dunes to enjoy picturesque views of the outer islands, Mangawhai & its surrounds. Enjoy a kayak through the vast Mangawhai Estuary; a days fishing is bound to bring in the big one. To wind down at the end of the day there's plenty of cafes & restaurants with great food and extensive wine selections to choose from.
