Onetangi is a gorgeous community set around 2.5km of beautiful white sand of Onetangi Beach and it is Waiheke’s largest beach. Onetangi Beach Races are held on the beach every year in February and it is an event which has been going for over 100 years. The beach is a short walk down a path from the house and is a great swimming and fishing beach with superb surf when the northerly blows. There are 2 waterfront restaurant/ bars and a general store. There is also a petrol station / liquor store and take away pizza at the top of 5th avenue. There are numerous bus stops along the beach.
