THE PROPERTY The “Tauranga Homestead Retreat” is located in “12 Acre Wood”, which is a very unique, private residential estate in the heart of Tauranga. The exclusive facilities available to the residents and their guests include two solar-heated salt-water Swimming Pools, a Tennis Court, Pétanque Court, Basketball Hoop area, Library and beautiful walkways through native and exotic trees and shrubs in the immaculately manicured grounds. All residents and guests are required to comply with the Twelve Acre Wood Health and Safety requirements, such as the "25 km/hour Speed Limit" and the "Rules at the Pools". THE LOCATION This private, secluded area is located just a 200 Meter level walk from the local shops comprising; “The Good Local” family pub, Restaurants, Take-away outlets, Bakery, 7 day Superette, Chemist, Hair Salon, Medical and Dental services etc. The “Tauriko Crossing" Shopping Mall and Commercial Business Park are just a 2 km drive away from the property.

YOUR HOSTS Dave and Tania, met overseas 30 years ago and after living and working in various countries returned to New Zealand and eventually settled in Tauranga eight years ago for the relaxed lifestyle that we have. We share a variety of mutual interests such as travel, food and music, as well as our individual creative hobbies. We also enjoy entertaining, and visiting our local and overseas family and friends.

LOCAL ATTRACTIONS The "Tauranga Golf Club" and the "Tauranga Racecourse" are within 2 km of the Homestead. The distance to "The Strand" in the CBD is 7km, and it is a 10 km drive to The "Tauranga Airport" and "Classic Fliers Museum", 12 km to the "Port of Tauranga", "Sulphur Point" Boat Ramps and facilities, "Mount Maunganui Shops", Restaurants and Bars, "Hot Pools", "Pilot Bay" and the main (life-guard patrolled) "Beaches". Other local attractions include the "Fernland Spa" private hot-springs (9 km), Tauranga BMX Track (4 km), “Waimarino” (water adventure park (11 km), the beautiful "McLaren Falls Park” and "Marshall’s Animal Farm” (15 km). A little further afield, “The Hobbiton Movie Set” is a 45 minute drive to the West (53 km) and the “Rotorua Lakes Thermal Area” with its multifarious tourist attractions are also approximately a 50 km drive, South, from the Homestead in Twelve Acre Wood.
