Nestled at the base of the mountain in Ahipara, Te Hū enjoys a beachfront position sheltered from prevailing winds, with uninterrupted views across Ahipara Bay. To the left, take in Shipwreck Bay and Tauroa Point, often lit by fiery orange sunsets. To the right, follow the curve of Ninety Mile Beach all the way to Cape Reinga on a clear day.
Watch the waves roll in or the tides turn from wild swells to calm blue waters—all from the comfort of your elevated deck. Inside, the open-plan living area flows effortlessly outdoors through sliding doors, framing the endless Pacific horizon—perfect for long, laid-back afternoons with family and friends.
This compact coastal haven sleeps up to five guests across one spacious bedroom, a cosy single room, and a separate sleepout with a queen bed, accessed externally. Simple and homely, Te Hū offers everything you need for a comfortable stay: a ceramic cooktop, air fryer, Smart TV, Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities (washing machine and dryer).
Heating and cooling are provided via a panel heater in the lounge, a fan heater in the sleepout, and two permanently fixed ceiling fans in the bedrooms.
The driveway provides easy parking for up to three standard-sized vehicles, and the bach is just moments from the beach—an ideal base for surf, sand, and exploring the stunning Far North.

Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your note there is no oven in the kitchen, there is an air fryer, stovetop, kettle, and entrance to the house is accessed via a stairway with 20 steps (tread and riser approximately 190mm). Due to this access, the property may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Known for its rugged coastlines, long white sandy stretches such as 90 Mile Beach, the lofty Te Paki sand dunes perfect for some wild boogie board surfing, as well as the picture perfect Bay of Islands. Many of New Zealand's 'must do's' are found within this area like visiting the most northern point of New Zealand at Cape Reinga and checking out the iconic light-house, swimming with the dolphins in Paihia, or taking a short ferry trip to Russell for a dose of history.
