Susana is a published poet and visual artist as well as a researcher on the history and culture of the Afro-descendant people of Panama. Enjoy the convenience of our tiny island bungalow home in the middle of the night life & all the action in Bocas Center, 1 min to Carenero Beach, 5-15 min to several surfing beaches. Come prepared for a unique cultural immersion living like a local islander. Our casita was built in the traditional Calypso Caribbean Architecture that makes Colon Island famous. Its minimalistic interior design was created by poet & visual artist Susana L. drawing inspiration from her world travels along with local afro-indigenous culture. IMPORTANT: This accommodation is a local home in a remote island in the jungles of Central America inside a natural reserve floating in the Caribbean Ocean surrounded amazing views with inhabitants such as dolphins, sloths and monkeys where you will see beautiful stars at night. If you feel you are more suited to be in a Hotel/Resort in a City then this place is not for you. Come prepared for adventures and surprises. Expect the unexpected & be flexible and ready for anything: loud music, poisonous frogs, power outages, iguanas, mosquitos, rain, water shortages, parades & parties.

Private spot in amidst the night life action on Isla Colon a few steps from the Caribbean Sea, one min from the beach. Centrally located half a block from Filthy Friday HQ, a few steps from Selina's & next to Luis Russell Mural near the Gym on 1st street where all the night life, local events & live music will happen. First street it's like Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Come prepared to enjoy Bocas Night Life, walk home & save cash on taxis. Our Colon Island Home has amazing views of the neighboring Carenero Island Bay from the roof-top deck. It is a few minutes boat ride away from many beaches, and many surfing locations inside the tropical rain forest of the archipelago of Bocas del Toro. We are inside a gigantic National Park & Natural Reserve with spectacular views of mangroves, beaches, underwater reefs, and islands mostly uninhabited. Near by you can find Bird Island National Park, Bastimento Rain Forrest National Park, Playa Estrella Natural Reserve, Dolphin Bay Natural reserve, San San Pond Sak National Park for turtle nesting and biodiversity for protected species. We are within walking distance to the airport, the ferry, the local bus stop and the water taxis.
