The two storey stone building was originally a stable belonging to the main house. It has been converted to a high standard and is very comfortable. The thick stone walls keep it cool in the summer and the log burner warm in the winter. The windows and doors overlook the gardens and surrounding countryside. The bathroom has a shower and bath. Hairdryer provided. The kitchen is equipped with a small oven and air fryer , double ceramic hob, toaster, kettle, coffee machine and fridge with a gas BBQ outside. The large private unseated salt water swimming pool is just outside the property with loungers and towels provided. There is no smoking inside the property but plenty of outside areas to use if desired. A small stream runs through the land and adds a further beautiful place to relax and enjoy.

Myself and husband Paul retired from the police force in the UK in 2020. We then moved to Portugal to enjoy the beautiful countryside and the warm and friendly people. I am a keen bird watcher and love to wander through the hills and valleys looking for interesting wildlife.

Rasa is a small rural village which sits in a beautiful valley. Within walking distance are the Ammaia Roman remains and museum and opposite the top rated Restaurant D’Oliveira. In the other direction is the Barragem da Apartadura, a vast and beautiful lake and lake beach. Castle towns Marvao and Castelo de Vide are a short drive away as is Portagem all have many cafes and restaurants to enjoy.
