The houses have been recently renovated maintaining the traditional Portuguese style. Guests can enjoy the beautiful countryside and fantastic hikes in the forest! PLEASE READ HOUSE RULES: -Do not smoke inside the house and do not throw cigarette butts on the floor, there are ashtrays provided. -Do not flush toilet paper or napkins, throw them in the bin provided -Do not feed the dogs -Connect without password to our Casa Valvida Wifi networks -There is a laundry service available at the cost of 5 euro per load (9kg) -There is organic homemade jam, eggs and elderflower cordial available for sale -Tap water is safe to drink -Please let us know if you run out of hot water in the house -Please turn off outdoor light when not using them -Dish sponges are 100% biodegradable, they come from a homegrown plant called Luffa -Please don't make noise after 10pm or before 9am -We change your towel and bed sheets once per week -Beach towels are not provided - Please leave the house clean and dispose of your rubbish: Glass bottles can be left in the crate outside the door. Plastic, metal, cardboard and Non-recyclable waste need to be separated and thrown away before you leave. There is a picture in the house for reference. -There is a supermarket 2 minutes drive from the house, next to Cafe Rodrigues in Gaio Village -There is a traditional Portuguese restaurant 3 minutes drive from the house, it's called Zé da Genia, closed on Wednesday and Sunday evening.

São Martinho do Porto is a nice village by a beautiful and calm shell-shaped and calm bay. The local market is open all week. Nazarè, with its mild climate and natural beauty, has one of the most ancient traditions connected to fishing in Portugal. These days, Nazaré’s major attractions are the waves and surfing. Alcobaça owes its fame and development to the its majestic Monastery, the first Gothic building in Portugal and UNESCO's World Heritage Site. Obidos is a charming town to explore; there are narrow-cobbled streets, traditional painted houses, and an imposing medieval castle. Caldas da Rainha (The Queen`s Hot Springs), is best known for ceramic pottery, for the magnificent D. Carlos park and for its Thermal Hospital, the oldest in the world. Foz do Arelho, with a vast, lovely beach backed by a river-mouth estuary is ideal for windsurfing and for a drink in one of the relaxed bars. Peniche is history, great beaches, excellent restaurants and a surf paradise. From here you can take the boat to the Berlengas Islands natural reserve (UNESCO) and visit its ancient fort.
