Its Creole inspired architecture and furnishings are in harmony with the environment making it your perfect intimate hideaway. Mouggae Blues Villas is managed by a Seychellois family, providing a warm and welcoming 24hr hospitality. We will be your guide, your friends & your family in the Seychelles!
Mouggae blues is owned and managed by Gilles Lionnet, local artist, producer and song writer; son of the late Guy Lionnet, historian, writer, botanist and environmentalist. Guy has written several books about the history of Seychelles (Short history of Seychelles), about the coco- de- mer (romance of a palm), and others such as The striking plants of Seychelles and the Creole/French dictionary. Gilles has followed in his footsteps by writing music and songs about Seychelles, the protection of the environment and many other cultural aspects of Seychelles culture and traditions. Gilles has invented the Mouggae which is a blending of the moutia, a dance of African origin and elements of the popular reggae music. Mouggae blues has got its name from the latest creation of Gilles Lionnet alias El Manager, a blend of mouggae and blues music. Gilles is assisted by his partner Marie-May. Five to ten minutes walk to Beau Vallon main beach, dive centers, money changers, restaurants and other tourism related services.Several small secluded beaches can be found all along Beau Vallon area right to Mouggae Blues sea front.Beau Vallon is also a cultural area where occasional activities are held,such as: Reggatta festival,creole festival or "moutia" nights. Numerous activities such as fishing,diving,glass- bottom boat,snorkeling,hiking,Jet ski,spas and many others.
