I always find “describe yourself box” a bit challenging but I will do my best to be as accurate as possible. I used to live on organic farm outside city center and I study law at Ljubljana Law University.
I love to wander and get my everyday dose of inspiration from people and places I meet and see. Spending time with my friends over a nice dinner and bottle of good wine is always considered as priceless time. I am a passionate biker, art and book lover.
While exploring the world I try to get my experience always trough Airbnb as it certainly gives an extra value to my trip. I am a friendly, helpful person and as friends would say “true hippie at heart”. In case you would like to get more info about Ljubljana or Slovenia in general, about hottest places to eat, museums to visit, cocktails to drink and parks to chill, just drop me a line.

Stara Ljubljana, or Old Town Ljubljana, is the historic and cultural heart of Slovenia’s capital—a place where time seems to stand still. Nestled between the Ljubljanica River and Castle Hill, this charming neighborhood is a labyrinth of cobblestone streets, colorful facades, and centuries-old architecture. Walking through its narrow lanes feels like stepping into a storybook, with each corner revealing something magical.
The neighborhood is anchored by iconic landmarks like the Triple Bridge (Tromostovje), which connects Prešeren Square to Old Town, and the majestic Ljubljana Castle perched above. Mestni trg (Town Square) is home to the elegant Town Hall and Robba Fountain, while Stari trg (Old Square) and Gornji trg (Upper Square) offer quieter, more intimate vibes with artisan shops, galleries, and cozy cafés. The Ljubljanica River flows gracefully through the area, lined with willow trees and lively terraces where locals and visitors gather for coffee or wine.
Stara Ljubljana is also a hub for culture and events. From street performances during Ana Desetnica to open-air concerts and art exhibitions, there’s always something happening. Museums like the City Museum of Ljubljana provide fascinating glimpses into the past, while boutique galleries showcase contemporary art. The neighborhood’s culinary scene is equally vibrant—traditional Slovenian dishes at Gostilna Sokol, indulgent pastries from Pekarna Osem, or riverside drinks at Tozd are just a few highlights.
Whether you visit in spring when flowers bloom along the riverbanks or winter when the Christmas Market transforms Old Town into a festive wonderland, Stara Ljubljana never fails to enchant. Its car-free streets make it perfect for wandering at your own pace, and its timeless charm ensures that every visit feels special. Stara Ljubljana isn’t just a neighborhood—it’s the soul of our city.
