Beautiful lake views can also be seen while relaxing in bed indoors. This amazing retreat is less than 1-hour drive from downtown Dallas. After passing the historic Quinlan town and the big cotton field, you will reach city of West Tawakoni -- the “Catfish Capital of Texas.” This peaceful getaway nestled on the shores of lake Tawakoni with amazing lake view. There are one private boat dock and one fishing pier for fishing and star gazing. The storage building has 2 adult and 1 child kayaks with life vests. The house features 500MB fiber internet and rising desk in case you need to meet or work with the rest of the world. The boat lift is reserved for owner usage only.

The West Tawakoni City Park is within 1 miles with boat launch, fish cleaning station, numerous picnic tables, playground including volleyball, basketball, baseball, soccer and horseshoe pits. Lake Tawakoni State Park is about 15 miles away where you can explore our 376 acres of oak forest, more than five miles of lakeshore, and the lake, a lot of fun activities like Boat, fish or swim on the water; hike, mountain-bike, go birding or geocaching. There are quite a few great restaurants and bars in the area. The Quinlan downtown is 6 miles away which has a full-sized Walmart Supercenter and a full-sized Brookshires grocery store, along with other shops and stores including Fix & Feed, Giddy Up and Go Coffee Shop, Jazzys taps N Toes, Lotus & Vine and Southern Rhea’s Boutique. There are also a number of fast food chains and other restaurants like Ain’t Just Pie Too, Whataburger, Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Sonic, Jalapeños, Burger King, Taco Bell.
