We are the lucky owners of Dora’s Haven Getaway! We are from Miami, Fl and locally vacationed in the Mount Dora area several times. We decided we needed a much deserved vacation property after visiting so many others and had fallen in love the minute we walked into this relaxing tropical retreat. As it only started out as a vacation home, we invited friends and family to visit and now we have completely transformed the home into a short-rental experience so every family can make memories in Mount Dora like ours have. We also provide a very comfortable full-size air mattress for added flexibility. Kitchen & Dining: Designed with brand-new stylish cabinets and modern appliances, the kitchen has ample room for food storage and includes stylish pots for your cooking needs. The coffee station is fully stocked with honey sticks, various tea samples, and more to enhance your morning routine. A breakfast nook with a 4-person dining table offers a great spot for meals. Patio: A cozy and romantic outdoor escape, surrounded by beautiful plants and red pavers. Enjoy trendy patio lights, a 4-person firepit, a BBQ, and a comfortable sitting area—ideal for relaxing evenings under the stars. Parking: Ample private parking with space for vehicles, boats, or RVs up to 55 feet in length. Guest Access: The apartment is on the property of a homeowner, but you’ll have your own private entrance and full access to the 1-bedroom space and patio. The City hosts over 30 events throughout the year, enriching the lives of residents, bringing tens of thousands of visitors to the City, and benefiting local nonprofits, small businesses, and vendors. Community favorites include Light Up Mount Dora, where the entire City is decked out in holiday decorations; Snow in the Park, which allows many local children to go sledding in Donnelly Park in the heart of downtown; and Freedom on the Waterfront, which showcases an incredible fireworks show on Lake Dora.
