Whether you want to wear yourselves out hiking in Yosemite and just crash for the night, or have a romantic weekend in a peaceful setting, this is the place! The space The house is surrounded by a grove of Manzanita and Oak trees, up a gravel driveway, with good distance between it and any other house. Inside has been completely remodeled with an eye for relaxation and beauty. You will sleep well in the Egyptian cotton sheets and organic queen mattress after your daytime activities. Enjoy making your own breakfast in a fully functioning kitchen with a mini fridge, 4 burner gas stove, oven, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Keep comfortable with multi-zone climate control. Kick back in front of the 65 inch TV with free Wifi and the ability to connect to any of your streaming services. Other things to note Mariposa is a rural area in the beautiful foothills of Yosemite. This location contains a lot of wildlife. Enjoy watching families of quail pecking at the ground in the morning. You may hear an occasional owl or coyote in the distance. You may also see deer, wild bunnies, bobcats, lizards. Because of the natural setting, we clean any bugs we find as fast as we find them, and in spite of our best efforts, please be aware that you may encounter some during your stay.

I am a Mariposa native, now raising a family on the Central Coast of California. I love coming back to my hometown and giving my children the chance to experience the natural beauty and wonder that Mariposa has to offer. Pizza Factory is loved by all the locals, and I'm sure you will love it, too. Make sure to visit the one in Mariposa (it is the best!). The Mariposa Museum and History Center has always astonished me at how much interesting artifacts it has for such a small space! If you get a chance, the Mariposa Mining and Mineral Museum at the fairgrounds is also really worth a visit. I enjoy it every time. A trip to Mariposa is not complete without visiting Chocolate Soup, my all-time favorite downtown shop! It is well beloved by locals and tourists alike. Be sure to look for seasonal events, such as the Christmas Parade, the Butterfly Festival, and the local County Fair. Mariposa may be small, but the people here are some of the best at welcoming visitors and making you feel like one of them.
