Welcome to this modern mountain home nestled away in the perfect private location for you and your guests! Walk out your front door and hike to Logcatcher falls, one of many miles of trails in this hidden treasure of a community,Powder Horn Mountain. This home was built in 2007 and sits on 1.39 acres. Just one step from parking to front door. 3 bedrooms on main level, Queen,Queen,Twin. Upper level with master,KING, and small loft with Twin. Upper level also has small library and desk space with monitor. Lower level includes Kitchen,fully equipped: full size fridge,oven,microwave,dishwasher, small appliances, blender,crockpot,12 cup drip coffee maker,pots, pans, cutting boards, small array of spices and pantry items, serving dishes, utensils, and more! There is also a propane grill on the deck for our barbecue aficionados! This house does have central heat and air. Towels and bedsheets are provided and one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towel in the kitchen per reservation. Also on main level living room, access to all decks, laundry and one full bath with tub and shower. Floor to ceiling windows and the VIEW.... best enjoyed with coffee or wine from the screened in porch! This house DOES ALLOW PETS. Pet fee is fifty dollars per pet and will be charged after you book. Limit of two pets per reservation please. Make sure you plan to sit and stay a while once you get here you won't want to leave! Powder Horn is a gated community with a seasonal community pool, three ponds,(that you can fish in!) Campground (many trail heads start here) clubhouse, fitness center, game room, playground, chapel, tennis court, and half basketball court. We do have trash pick up every Monday. We ask that guests bag all trash before they place in outside trash bins. There is no recycling at the house but there is a recycling center on Elk Creek Road, guests are encouraged to take their recyclables there during their open hours (Mon,Wed,Fri,Sat)

This house is located in Powder Horn Mountain in Deep Gap, NC. We are about 20 mins to Appalachian State University and Main Street in Boone but only about 13 miles. We are about 18 -25 miles to all the ski resorts or about 35 to 45mins. Blowing Rock and Banner Elk are each about 35-45 mins from our front gate. The Blue Ridge Parkway is about 7 miles away with an access point at the top of Elk Creek Rd on old 421. The closest grocery store is Food Lion located at the intersection of 421 and Old 421 across from Tractor Supply. There is RV camping and horseback riding near by at Leatherwood Mountain Resort. Elk Creek is just outside the front gate of Powder Horn and is a state stocked trout stream this is an anglers paradise make sure you get your fishing license but you will find it is some of the best fishing around! Local wineries and breweries abound including Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Boonshine Brewing, Grandfather Vineyards, Banner Elk Winery and so many others. So much to do!!!! Make sure to also check out the Lil' Hidden Creek Gem mine located about 1 miles past the back gate of Powder Horn. Call ahead and they will get mining buckets ready for the little ones! Within the gates of Powder Horn is its own little community! There are three ponds, a campground on the river, horseshoe pits, grills, and fire circles, Clubhouse, fitness center, community pool, game room, playground, tennis court, half basket ball court, chapel and miles upon miles of awesome hiking trails right out your front door!
