Kapa'a is centrally located on the East side of the island. A short 20 minute drive from Lihue Airport, and provides you the opportunity to explore South toward Koloa and Poipu or North to Princeville and Hanalei. Downtown Kapa'a is a short walk away with shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants, but don't pass up a visit to the many food trucks for eats that have a wonderful local flavor and touch. Rent a local beach cruiser bike and explore the Ke Ala Hele Makalae (The Path that Goes by The Coast), walk and bike path that stretches for miles along the coast, offering spectacular views of the ocean, lush landscapes and perhaps a glimpse of local wildlife!
