Let your troubles dissipate at Canary Cottage, where the dawn chorus nudges you awake, siestas are punctuated by the gentle nibbling of the town's horses outside, and frogs ping from the vlei as evening falls. Which all makes the occasional Hadeda trumpet seem that much louder (as Pharrell Williams can attest)!! The surrounding parkland ensures peace and tranquility despite being a 3-minute stroll from various restaurants, shops and the supermarket.
Hey! I'm a graphic designer and I like wildlife/nature, illustration and photography.
The neighbourhood is located on the eastern edge of town, and is close to a number of biking, hiking and running trails that spread out from the R406 dirt road. There are spots along the nearby Gobos River where you can swim, provided the river is not in flood and you are confident of your abilities in the water. The OK and Osman supermarkets, weekly farmer's market and various restaurants/shops are within a few minutes walk from the cottage. On the north-west side of town is the Greyton Nature Reserve, which features pristine fynbos habitat and lovely trails.
You can walk from one side of Greyton to the other in about 30 minutes, so all shops, restaurants and other amenities are within walking distance. If you prefer to drive, parking should not be an issue.
