The apartment was originally designed adjacent to the main cottage to function as a studio for the host. It has been refurbished and adjusted to become a rental unit for guests with its own entrance styled with old-world charm. Step onto a porch with a built-in braai/ fireplace before entering. Doors and windows are equipped with double glazed glass to ensure privacy and temperature control. On entering through the sliding door, there is an open plan lounge and kitchen with a dining area and extra table to be used as a desk. This room also leads onto a courtyard with another fireplace/braai area as well as a spacious dry yard with an outside basin. The bedroom is spacious and separate and can be entered through a door out of the kitchen area. There is a quality extra length queen size bed and freestanding cupboard as well as a chest of drawers. The en-suite bathroom is towards the back of the studio and has a medium size bath, spacious shower, toilet and basin on a vanity. St Helena Bay is located on the western coast of South-Africa and a quiet fishing village. Golden Mile beach is plus minus 500 meters from the unit and within walking distance.

I am an artist at heart, but not in a professional capacity as raising my two wonderful and talented sons, was a priority. I am someone who likes to treat people and therefor see my guests as similar to family or friends visiting. Thus, I ensure that the place is as neat and clean as I would like to receive it and that it is as comfortable as possible. Most important is that my guests have a quality stay even though it is at the beach. I want them to feel at home.

St Helena Bay is about 1.5 hours travel from Cape Town and stretches for kilometers along the ocean of which Lampies Bay, where Luname's is situated, was initially founded on a farm as a seaside holiday destination. It forms a small section of the whole and is now mostly inhabited by a mixture of retirees, people working from home and houses/apartments being let to travellers/holiday makers. It is a quiet place where people walk their dogs, chat to the neighbours and generally have a peaceful/friendly existence. The beach stretches for miles. Fishing, boating and watching dolphins and whales are frequented. Horses can be rented to trot on the beach and there is an18-hole links golf course. Although there are some restaurants in the area, some of the best in the world is about 10 minutes' drive from Luname's in the neighbouring town of Paternoster. All amenities are locally available, but a shopping centre and a bigger variety can be found in the town of Vredenburg which is 15 minutes away. In season, wildflowers are spectacular to see and there are plenty more rural towns to explore. As a fishing village with its harbour, the catch of the day will please any seafood addict.
