The pub & accommodation has been taken over by new landlord Paul. I had to check in late, his communication throughout was fantastic and he was extremely accommodating. The bar area is great, the pub itself is rich in history. The accommodation was clean, quiet & comfortable and of great value. A lovely semi-rural location and awoken by birdsong in the morning! I would not hesitate to stay again!

We stayed in the "wing" room, which has its own entrace/bathroom and bedroom. It was obviously recently redone, everything was modern and spotless. Very friendly staff, great pub too. Be advised there is no breakfast on site.

A comfortable place to stay and eat during our cycling trip. They kindly let us store our bicycles in the garage. A nicely presented room and generous-sized bathroom. An enjoyable steak dinner in the restaurant.

Ideal for being close to the harbour, less than 2 minutes walk. All the staff were very welcoming when we arrived so we stayed for a meal and a chat there.

The Basset Arms had only been open a month after refurbishment when we stayed. Our room was well appointed and beautifully decorated, the shower was the best in our so far 3 weeks of travelling, and dinner and breakfast were both freshly cooked and delicious. The staff were also brilliant - very friendly and attentive. 👌
