This was a family trip. The rooms were cozy and well equipped. Extra blankets and heating is provided. The rooms are comfortable and surrounded by nature. It creates a great experience and you have the river sound. If you are not used to that sound it is really relaxing. The hotel has a green house where you can buy and see plants. They are lovely. The trails are very nice. Be mindful that to reach the entrance you need to walk 1.5 Km. La Quebrada is a trail that you can walk with small children. No wheel chair nor prawn/stroller. Los Pioneros is a short and flat trail. Suitable for elderly persons. We traveled with one and was the perfect walk. The food was delicious. The breakfast is a buffet with plenty of options and very tasty.

The service and friendly staff. The ambiance of the old building and its quirkiness - lots of halls and nooks and crannies to discover. The hot tubs and roof top terrace were wonderful as well. The rooms were exceptionally decorated and quite comfortable.

The rooms, pool and all areas were clean and beds comfortable. We had massages on site which are totally recommend. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Set in a residential area, next to Costa Rica Country Club, Apartotel & Suites Villas del Rio features 2 outdoor pools, a hot tub and gym. A free airport shuttle service is offered. Great place to stay, kitchen with full facilities, free airport shuttle, breakfast was great, pool nice and warm, walkable to grocery store (10 mins), animal rescue (30 mins), butterfly gardens (30 mins), safe area. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
