Excellent location with views of harbour and sea. Close to rail station and buses. Good parking at hotel for a fee. excellent buffet breakfast including freshly cooked egg. Very extensive a la carte menu in English for dinner. Very friendly helpful staff throughout who spoke English. Wellness facilities including two pools and a variety of sauna and resting rooms including outside sun deck. Room had amazing sea view and lovely secluded balcony and lounge. King-size bed very comfy with duvet and two pillows. Coffee machine and TV. Bathroom with shower at working towel rail. There's nothing to fault this hotel and it's my second visit and soon will be my third!!

We stayed here as a stopover on a our way to a tour of Scotland and were delighted with our overnight. The hotel lived up to our expectation, the rooms spacious comfortable and light and a good nights sleep was had by all. We ate in the restaurant and had a great meal and breakfast was plentiful and we sat out in the built on conservatory which set us up well for our forward journey. A special mention to the young guy on reception with a magnificent beard whose name I didnt get. He was super friendly, welcoming and funny which is exactly the welcome we appreciate so a big thumbs up to him We would highly recommend a stay here and would stay again ourselves if we are in the area again

We really like this hotel. The sphere, the food, the room are fantastic, the stuff is very friendly and hospitable. The sauna and swimming pool are also very nice. And the wellness (massage, pedicure) was excellent.

spacious rooms and having a balcony was a bonus seen the beautiful weather. The breakfast was really nice. Location is good, you can have a short walk to the city center and harbour. In fact everything was as planned.

We travel to Varel relatively regularly. It is, for us a simple 45 minute journey. We very much like the ambience of the place, the parking is a doddle, the rooms are really very good and fabulously clean, as is the entire hotel, the wellness is wonderful although there were many, many people booked in on this particular occasion, to the point that, at times, it was hard to find a place to lie down after a sauna but that is simply testimony to how good the entire experience is, and the breakfast, ah the breakfast is to die for. It is simply marvelous , the staff are excellent, and very cheerful, even on a Sunday morning, there is plenty of absolutely everything including a cleansing Prosecco first thing in the morning if that is your wish, and the ability to stay and drink endless good coffee for as long as you like. It really is very good and we think good value for money.
