The room was immaculate and the staff was extremely attentive. My husband took a golf lesson just to tweak his swing and instilled through the Bowood House and Gardens. An incredible afternoon. Breakfast is excellent and we are both nights of our stay in the hotel restaurant. Everything we had was top notch

Set in the iconic Grade II listed former railway headquarters, it has bedrooms that feature free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, bathrobes, slippers, Molton Brown... Fantastic location, wonderful rooms, great breakfast, outstanding staff, big bathroom, comfortable beds, wonderful lounge area with singing in the evenings. One of the best hotels I have stayed in.

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making... 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. Our room was really lovely and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Our room was one of the Stable Rooms and it was absolutely lovely. The room was small but well-appointed and clean. The staff, especially Alex at reception and the bartenders were pleasant and accommodating....always with a warm smile. The grounds are gorgeous. We will be back!
