Located 2 km from Lake Trasimeno, I Capricci Di Merion is an Art Nouveau building in the Umbrian countryside. Beautiful and convenient setting. Excellent restaurant with amazing local options. Great selection of wine and the spa services and indoor pool was incredible.

You were wonderful! Michaela is a fantastic chef and recommend the smoked beef and sea bass and breakfasts were lovely. Lorenzo was a great sommelier who made great limoncello spritz! Amazing pool area and beautiful grounds with covered parking and beautiful views of the countryside. Will hopefully return one day from NZ

Relais Villa Monte Solare Wellness & SPA is a luxurious 4-star property with beautiful gardens and a panoramic spa with views of the hills. Restaurant Dolium serves specialities of Tuscany and Umbria.... I think I’ll rave about this stay forever. It’s the nicest hotel I have ever experienced. We were upgraded on check-in and received the most incredible room. It truly felt like a dream from start to finish. The staff were consistently warm and gracious, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast is phenomenal, with complimentary prosecco available if you wish. We had dinner here on two nights, and both meals were absolutely five-star. The spa is beautiful, and we loved spending time in the thermal suites. There are two swimming pools with breathtaking scenic views, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. Everything felt cinematic, as if I had stepped into a movie. My only regret is not booking the entire holiday here. I cannot wait to return.

A Slice of Umbrian Paradise – Truly Unforgettable! We had the absolute pleasure of staying just outside Castiglione del Lago in a beautiful two-bedroom apartment that exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had stepped into a private, luxurious resort — but with the warmth and charm of a family-run retreat. The apartment was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and came with absolutely everything we needed and more. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy furnishings that made it feel like home. The grounds are breathtaking — with flower-lined pathways, a range of charming seating areas (including a Cobana!), and lush gardens that make every corner feel special. Each morning, we were greeted with fresh produce straight from the garden — a magical touch that made every breakfast feel like a dream. The pool area is glorious, with comfortable sun loungers for every guest and views that make it hard to leave. In the evenings, the BBQ area lit with strings of lights becomes a magical space to relax, eat, and enjoy the peaceful Umbrian countryside. A special mention must go to our host, Andreas, and his lovely family — incredibly welcoming and kind, always available but never intrusive. Their care and attention to detail truly elevate the whole experience.

This is by far the most exceptional hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were lovely, spacious and comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and beautiful. The best thing about it however was the host, who was absolutely lovely and treated our children like her own. This is a great property for families because there is so much for kids to do.

Met us, provided us with information but were unobtrusive. Villa was lovely and perfect. Two separate apartments. The pool was fantastic. Great views over the lake in an evening.
