The perfect place to start the Hump Ridge Track! The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Everything was well-organized, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Overall, it was the best experience, highly recommend to anyone planning their adventure!

Niagara Ridge Retreat Catlins se nachází v destinaci Niagara v oblasti Southland a nabízí terasu a výhled na moře. It is a wonderful lone big house, looks new, on a hill overlooking a lake, beautiful scenery. The owners are very nice. It is a very spacious and quiet. Great fire place with plenty good fire wood. It was a great pleasure staying there. We had all the equipment and appliances that we needed, including washing machine and a dryer. Tips for guests: make sure you arrive there in daylight to make it easier to notice signs leading to the place. Read the owner's instructions and guidance well before arrival, including the WiFi code in case you need to call the owner with WiFi before you enter the house. Please be aware that there are no shops in the vicinity. It is highly recommended to buy your groceries in advance. The only restaurant which is within a reasonably short drive - closes early. The nearest food shop is a 15-20 minutes drive away, doesn't have much stuff and closes early. There is a pub near this shop which closes at about 10pm, to be verified. The kitchen closes much earlier. It is better to learn the area well in advance.

Spent hours watching the sea. And the house was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. And the location to the beach was wonderful. The hot tub was a lovely addition. We truly did not want to leave (even in the rain)! I cannot praise the hosts or this apartment enough! The decor and furnishings were absolutely wonderful and made such an inviting and enjoyable environment. And the outdoor space: SPECTACULAR VIEWS, great table as well as seating area - and a hot tub! We were just stunned when we arrived to the 270 degree view. The pantry was really well stocked: cereals, milk, wine, chocolate, etc. -- above and beyond any other place we stayed on the trip!! The 'chilly bin' and water bottles were quite handy to borrow for our day trip to Milford Sound. If you needed something, it was likely there. Plus Susanna was a lovely host - she met us when we arrived and provided a great overview.
