The entire hotel environment smelt great all the time. The staff are readily available, warm and friendly. The location may not be central, yet it was easily accessible and not isolated. The NY fireworks were very clearly seen from our room ….. a wonderful surprise and addition.

This is a very plush hotel set right beside the castle. The hotel is very modern but has been done sympathetic to its surroundings. Everything is spotless and the staff are excellent. The beds were supremely comfortable.

Torel Avantgarde is set in Porto's centre, a 10-minute walk from the Douro riverside and 750 metres from the iconic Clérigos Church. We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The location is ideal, with a stunning view that you get to enjoy every morning from the perfectly positioned infinity pool and restaurant terrace. The pool itself was the perfect temperature—very refreshing and relaxing. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, offering us great tips that led us to some of the best restaurants in town. The welcome process was smooth and warm, making us feel relaxed from the start. Our room was upscale, comfortable, and high quality—everything felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained. The food and drinks were also top-notch, with great attention to both flavor and presentation. Overall, a beautiful and memorable experience. Highly recommend!

Beautiful place if you are traveling in north Portugal and the huge plus is the 3 minutes walk from the hotel to the adventure park. Hotel is lovely with an amazing outdoor pool, great service, option for a chef dinner that we enjoyed. we took the suite room and the only issue with that is the bed, which was too soft for us and not really comfortable. Area is so green and great for hiking.
