It's a wonderful Lodge/hotel. Exceeded our expectations. It is situated in such a stunning area by lake. Outside the Lodge, lots of different outdoor activities, like golf, netball, chess , swimming by the lake or the pool! No extra pay like some places do. They also have a sitting area with the fire pit lit outside so guests can make marshmallows and relax. Some nights musicians play live music. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely. I have to mention, " Schroon Lodge famous cookies." I believe the staff are making them every afternoon for people who stay at the Lodge. They were amazing! So thoughtful.

We absolutely loved our weekend at La Quinta Inn. The hotel has good amenities: a nice, decent sized pool; the gym is well equipped too. Rooms were clean and spacious, wifi good and reliable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

There is a hiking trail through the forest 10 minutes from the hotel. I recommend it!!!
