It is an amazing place worth of visiting.

It is an amazing place worth of visiting. The audio guide must have - I usually find it not useful, but in Wawel it is made accurate and you could get more information about the items and life of polish kings.

Unforgettable memories as Wawel Royal Castle is the symbol of Krakow. It is proud and beautiful. The castle has two museums, Castle I and Castle II where you will enjoy the history. Beautiful river scene opens from the castle giving a spectacular views to the city guests.

The outsdie surroundings are great, and even taking the tour is worthwhile, but it is not what you would typically think of as a castle. Over the centuries it has gone through many changes, and much of what you are allowed to look include furniture from certain periods of time in great condition, and galleries of various historical and royal personnel paintings. The galleries and even most of the furniture tell you its' origin and provenance.

I tried to book tickets online they took the money but didnt send the tickets. tried to both email and call for help without success. So if visiting i recommend buying your tickets in person as it spoiled my day as i had to purchase new tickets as there staff failed to assist me. The castle itself was Okay but not as good as other places I've visited

    Superb UNESCO heritage, absolutely must-visit!

Superb UNESCO heritage, absolutely must-visit! The fortress is consisted of several museums, if you tell where you want to visit on the ticket counter, the time for each entry is occasionally scheduled in place, it is the best time for you without queuing. Treasury is the definite attraction.

The main object is Wavel Royal Cathedral.

The main object is Wavel Royal Cathedral. The tickets can only be purchased at the ticket office (starts from 9.00 am, mon-sat). It it best to go there early in the morning, because there will be lots of people. You buy one ticket to Cathedral, Sigismund's Bell, Royal Sarcophaguses, Cathedral museum (one ticket for 14 pln, and grab an audio guide 9 pln)

There's an underground museum in the main square which we missed but is recommended. Wawel Castle takes you way back and of course there is the more recent history of the Second World War when the Jewish population were forced into the ghetto south of the river and of course Auschwitz-Birkenau. Time to reflect.
