The position of the hotel is strategic in Taksim, really close to facilities and the pedestrian area (Istiklal Caddesi). The staff of the hotel is really polite and kind. Turkish breakfast is served in a small but cute room in the hotel, and it's sumptuous, with a lot of choises and really good quality products. Services offered by the hotel seem to be adequate (we did not use them). Rooms are worm, comfortable and very cleaned. Price is worthwhile.

The stay at The Union Plat Inn Hotel was simply amazing. The hotel is located just off Istiklal Street in a quiet location. Such a location isn't the easiest to find and for us it was perfect as things were quiet at night. The stay was short, well, just under a week. But, it was simply amazing. We had organized a pickup at Sabiha Airport which was handled by the Seven Stars Limousine Service, which was nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival I was contacted by their representative various times while picking up/waiting for our bags. It was a bit overwhelming to be called multiple times asking where we were, but upon finding out that the frequent calls were based on the fact that the hotel contacted several times asking where we were was truly heartwarming. We got to the agreed upon place where we told to meet. This place was (super conveniently) sent to us via a WhatsApp video which showed us the exact location and where to meet. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Yelçin who went above and beyond to make the stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. So, hats off to him and Muneeb (I hope I got that right). Yelçin was nice enough to arrange a room with a balcony which was absolutely cinvenient given the fact that I am smoker. The rooms were absolutely impeccably clean and the air condition was really a welcoming thing as the weather was very warm during our stay. The bathroom was really clean as well and came with everything one could ask for, including a shaving kit as well as soap and clean towels. It oh, also water (refilled daily) and a kettlenwith coffee, teanband sugar was supplied as well as a mini fridge. I had to get a suit ironed for the next morning but hadn't been to the exchange yet, and went to the convenient dry clean/ironing service right next door, where Yelçin briefly accompanied me to make sure nothing was lost in translation.

Always bustling with tourists and locals , the side alleys...

Always bustling with tourists and locals , the side alleys are full of restaurants and cafes that stays open very later after midnight. Don’t go with any strangers who offers you or suggest you places to sit . Don’t talk to strangers in general, they try to lure you into traps . But police are spread out everywhere so it’s safe even at night .

It's a pleasant enough walk down from Tamsin, but most of the shops are similar to those to be found in most big cities in Europe. The historic tram is a fun ride if you want to skip the walk. Alternatively, take a detour into the Galatasaray "Fish Market" for a more local view, or into the street full of bars to the right at the Tünel end of the street.

Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a...

Great place for people-watching, with 2 million people a day traipsing up and down it. Be sure and explore some of the side alleys. And if you can get in at a time when the Korean tourists are otherwise busy, try the Kaymak at Ozsut Muhallebicisi down near the Tunel station; more than a little fattening bjut oh so good!

One of the most busy streets in Istanbul, there is shopping, there is food, there is nightlife. Wallets and phones in your front pocket for sure. Shops stay open till ten pm and food till late night. Nightlife was fun there were alot of local pubs.

The breakfast was v nice, fresh good variety and some items were changed daily to keep it interesting. The room was spacious and comfortable, cleaned well daily. The hotel is max 10mins walk from the airport shuttle bus stop and also 5mins walk to Taxsim/Istiklal street. If you're looking to explore Nisantasi, Galataport, Sisli etc neighbourhoods you're well placed because they're easy 45mins walks there. And of course the metro stop from Taxsim is also few steps away.

Beautiful location in a touristy area, but in a cosy neighbourhood away from crowds and noise. Lots of small shops, cafes, antique stores, restaurants and bakeries nearby. 3 min walk to the tram stop and 5 min walk to the Port. Close to Galata Tower, Istiklal street, and Dolmabahce Palace. The apartment has a roof top terrace with a wonderful view over the Bosphorus and Galata Tower. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, it was quite spacious and clean, comfortable bed. Kitchen was well-equipped.

The hotel is very good. Considering the quality compared to the price, it’s actually a great deal. The overall quality is nice, and the location is very close to Istiklal Street, which makes it suitable for both families and young people. As for the staff, you don’t see them much — you check in, take your room, and that’s it. They are respectful and I didn’t notice anything negative. If I compare the price to other hotels, I would give this place 10/10.

Istiklal street is a big pedestrian market that include all kind of shopping with really quality items with reasonable prices. Clothes especially they have varity and really reasonable prices. Everything in this street, clothes, turkish delights, sweets, food, restaurants, music, coffee shops. Istanbul also have specialised matkets like bride's matket in Fatih that includes wedding dresses and all items related to weddings.
