Positioned on 55 acres of land, the individually designed Daysy Hill Country Cottages are only a 1-minute drive from Port Campbell and the Great Ocean Road. The cabin we stayed in was perfect. It met all our needs and had thoughtful touches like fresh milk in the fridge. The flowers around the property were beautiful and added to the relaxing atmosphere. The chickens and the cows in the paddock really added to the experience.

Clonmara Country House & Cottages offers comfortable and stylish cottages set in 1.5 acres of manicured gardens. The property is fronted by a gorgeous stone cottage dating from 1855. We booked Clonmara at short notice as our travel plans changed due to the recent bush fires. However, we were absolutely delighted with our choice of accommodation, and the cottage surpassed our expectations in every way. The cottage has everything you need for your stay including a comfortable lounge, large screen tv, games, books and films. We particularly liked the bed orientation where you look out through glass doors towards the field with alpacas grazing. Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer in Port Fairy, and enjoy the charms of Clonmara.

It’s about fifteen minutes from town and about ten minutes from cell service. Blackwood has lots of glowworms directly behind the house, which was really special. There are lots of parrots who visit for birdseed and a possum who cleaned up the leftovers.

We loved the wood fire for that peaceful atmosphere and warmth, the tennis court was right next to our cottage, we had fun teaching our 4 year old how to play. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen facilities were good. The shower pressure and temperature was amazing. Something you don't get with modern showers anymore. There is a closed yard so we didn't have to worry about the kids wandering off.

It was a very cool mix between camping and glamping that my partner and I enjoyed - we don’t do very hardcore camping, so this was a perfect balance. Also the hosts were incredible and communicative and were able to put the heater and heated blankets on early for us as we were arriving late in the evening - it made all the difference to arrive to a warm tent when it was a bit chilly out.
