The host was really friendly, considered our comfort for example by serving us dinner to our room. The dome we stayed in was comfortable. The area is quiet so it was nice to hear the sounds of nature arround you. We felt peace and was able to disconecr from our busy last days in Costa Rica.

The location was good near of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is in middle of a forest and is really quiet and is easy to see birds and monkeys. The pool is really nice and the beach is near walking. The house was clean and have all we need to enjoy the week we spend there.

This is like luxury camping, where the place is a mix between a tent and an apartment. We had a nice view of the mountains, which we enjoyed from our terrace with a hammock, and we cooked on the gas stove. It was so peaceful. My biggest fear was sleeping without air conditioning, but we slept well. The beds are comfortable, and the fan and fresh air were sufficient for good sleep.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

Jungle Living Tree Houses se nachází v destinaci Monteverde Costa Rica a nabízí zahradu a terasu. Nedaleko se nachází Monteverde Butterfly Gardens a Monteverde Ecological Sanctuary. We loved the beautiful forest surroundings around our treehouse! Although we knew there were other treehouses close by, giving us a sense of security, our view from our treehouse itself was total jungle, giving us a private jungle vibe with no other treehouses or buildings within view of us. It was such a cool experience! We were lucky to have 2 sunny mornings so we woke up slowly, lying in bed, enjoying the dappled sunlight peaking through our jungle view from the vast windows. I loved Monteverde and hope to go back and when I do, I'll stay here again!

Finca Terra Viva was marvelous! The property was spectacular, nestled in a valley and spanning up the hills on either side. It’s close enough to town that we were comfortable driving back and forth after dark, and far enough away that we didn’t have any of the light or noise (what little of it Santa Elena generates). Gaudy was warm and welcoming, offered excellent t recommendations, and is so committed to sustainable practices. It was just gorgeous - stunning and serene. We walked the trails, followed the birds, and fed 2-day-old calves! It is a working farm, and we woke with the sun (and cows and roosters) each day, but loved it. Some of the transport for local attractions will pick you up there, and others will ask you to meet them at a nearby intersection. Between the views, the air, the location, and the comfort of the casitas, we hated to leave.
