We arrive at midnight, the owner was super kind, welcome us in a happy and warm mood, we had a late diner at their restaurant, their homemade curry. This is not a joke, it was one of the most tasty and delicious curry in our life. The lodge was super super clean, bed was confortable, sleeped well.

They arrange everything so well and take such good care of you, from the airport to your stay at the Garden Inn and especially during the jungle trekking. We did the two days one night trekking with Jerry, Rudy & Abdi. The guides are very funny, knowledgeable about everything and Abdi’s food was amazing! The trekking was tough but we had so much fun and saw many orangutans and other animals. Unforgettable experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia! After the trekking we spent another night at the Garden Inn and did the village tour with Pindu, perfect way to learn more about the local community! He also let us make our own tempeh and gado gado, which was a lot of fun. If you are planning to visit Bukit Lawang, we would recommend to book everything with the Garden Inn team. Coming here is an authentic and amazing experience in the nature. The lodges/bungalows are in the jungle, they are basic, an amazing camping spot in the jungle to escape from the city life. You can see monkeys and animals from your bed in the morning. The people are amazing, kind and really available to help you in any situation. Book here your jungle trekking (I did the 2 days trekking with one night in the jungle), the experience is really beautiful and the guides Cici, Sam and the owner Uddin are the best. Starting being your guides, they will become your friends! Lovely people and also careful about sustainability. It exceeded my expectations.

There is a vegetable farm beside the accommodation. Have nice view of Gunung Sinabung. Although breakfast is not included, it's cafe also serves delicious western food. Like the quiet yet calming of the atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommended!
